Frequently asked questions about linku.dot

How should a regulated fintech think about .PAY and financial licensing when choosing link.pay?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

How do I back up the DNS zone for linku.dot?

Export the full zone file for linku.dot from your DNS host, or record each record set, so you can restore quickly after a mistake or provider change. Keep the backup of linku.dot's zone versioned and off the provider. Re-import it to rebuild linku.dot if the zone is ever lost.

Can I pay for a .PAY pre-order by card, wire or crypto for mobile money?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

How early should I prepare my SMD relative to the linku.dot priority phase?

Prepare your SMD well before the linku.dot priority phase, since TMCH validation takes time you do not control. Having a valid SMD ready means you can submit the moment priority opens for linku.dot. Late preparation risks missing the window. Get set up and register at https://domain.pay/register.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium when choosing trust.pay?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
