Frequently asked questions about linkies.dot

Can Amazon Registry reserve or block some .PAY names for payroll disbursements?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Does linkies.dot require special hosting?

No. linkies.dot works with ordinary web hosting, redirects, or a landing-page service, just like any domain. You point its DNS wherever you want linkies.dot to resolve. The .PAY suffix imposes no special hosting requirement.

What are the current .PAY launch dates in 2026 and 2027 for online checkout?

Current ICANN dates: .PAY Sunrise is April 13–July 20, 2026; LRP1 is July 20, 2026–February 1, 2027; Trademark Claims is February 1–May 2, 2027. For registration or pre-order action, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

How is linkies.dot different from linkies.dot.com?

linkies.dot uses the payment-specific .PAY suffix, while linkies.dot.com uses the generic commercial suffix. linkies.dot signals checkout and transactions at a glance, whereas linkies.dot.com is neutral about purpose. Both can point to the same site, but linkies.dot reads as a dedicated payment address.

Can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else for crypto payments?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
