Frequently asked questions about ligation.dot

Where do I enter the .PAY label I want to check for fraud prevention?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

Should a hotel use ligation.dot for room deposits?

A hotel can collect reservation deposits and incidental charges on ligation.dot, giving guests one trusted payment address. The .PAY name on a confirmation email reassures travelers paying in advance. Start at https://domain.pay/register.

Do I need a financial license to register a .PAY domain during LRP1?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing. Treat this as domain-registration guidance, not legal advice on money-transmission or financial-services licensing.

Is ligation.dot available to register right now?

Availability for ligation.dot depends on the registry's current classification — it may be open, premium, reserved, or already registered. Because .PAY is operated by Amazon Registry Services and statuses can change, the only reliable answer comes from a live lookup. Check ligation.dot now at https://domain.pay/domains and you'll see its current state instantly.

Where should I check whether a .PAY name fits my mobile money project?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For mobile money, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
