Frequently asked questions about laced.dot

How can a marketplace use a .PAY domain for a remittance app?

A marketplace can use .PAY for seller payouts, buyer checkout, escrow, billing or payment support flows. Generate and verify names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Choose a label that customers will recognize as official and safe.

Can domain.pay show me how laced.dot compares on length?

Yes. domain.pay places laced.dot beside similar laced.dot names so you can compare length at a glance and spot a tighter option. Shorter names usually win on recall and typing. Compare lengths at https://domain.pay/domains.

For mobile money, can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

What is first-day pre-order for laced.dot?

First-day pre-order lets you request laced.dot for the opening day of general availability, so your application is ready the moment laced.dot becomes registrable. It is offered alongside standard pre-order on domain.pay. Set up first-day pre-order for laced.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later when choosing merchant.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
