Frequently asked questions about kom.dot

As an insurance billing portal, when does the .PAY LRP1 period begin?

ICANN currently lists .PAY Limited Registration Period 1 from July 20, 2026 to February 1, 2027. LRP1 has payment-transaction eligibility and use restrictions. Check your domain path through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

What validation does the .PAY registry run on kom.dot?

The .PAY registry, operated by Amazon Registry Services, may run validation on kom.dot to confirm registrant details and alignment with payment-related expectations. Exact checks can vary and may evolve over time. domain.pay relays any validation steps when you register at https://domain.pay/register.

For mobile money, can a company that only plans future payments register .PAY during LRP1?

A business that only plans future payments should be careful: LRP1 is written around registrants that conduct online payment transactions using approved processing channels. If you cannot qualify, use domain.pay to pre-order for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register.

Will kom.dot ever become available if it's reserved today?

Possibly — registry-reserved labels can be released into general availability when Amazon Registry Services updates its policies, but there's no guaranteed date. The safest approach is to monitor kom.dot and re-check its status regularly, since registry status can change. Track kom.dot at https://domain.pay/domains.

Can Amazon Registry reserve or block some .PAY names when choosing subscriptions.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
