Frequently asked questions about keynotes.dot

Can a company that only plans future payments register .PAY during LRP1 for mobile money?

A business that only plans future payments should be careful: LRP1 is written around registrants that conduct online payment transactions using approved processing channels. If you cannot qualify, use domain.pay to pre-order for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register.

Can I upgrade to VIP handling after pre-ordering keynotes.dot?

You can add VIP priority handling to a pending keynotes.dot pre-order before it is submitted, moving your request higher in our queue. VIP affects ordering speed only and does not change the registry's final decision on keynotes.dot. Add it at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For point-of-sale payments, do I need a financial license to register a .PAY domain during LRP1?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

Does using keynotes.dot hurt my Google rankings?

No. Google has stated that new top-level domains carry no inherent ranking advantage or disadvantage, so keynotes.dot competes on the same signals as any .com. Focus your SEO effort for keynotes.dot on content, page speed, and backlinks rather than the extension itself.

Can domain.pay submit my .PAY registration on opening day for digital wallets?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
