Frequently asked questions about kelpak.dot

Does .PAY require payment-related use after registration for fraud prevention?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

What can a SaaS reseller do with kelpak.dot?

A reseller can present kelpak.dot as the branded billing address for the plans it sells, keeping customers on a payment-native page. It looks more credible than a passthrough gateway link. Start at https://domain.pay/register.

When does the .PAY Trademark Claims period run for crypto payments?

ICANN currently lists the .PAY Trademark Claims period from February 1, 2027 to May 2, 2027. For practical registration action, check your preferred label and pre-order path on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

What happens to my DNS records when kelpak.dot expires?

Once kelpak.dot expires and leaves the grace period, the registry may stop publishing your nameservers, so kelpak.dot stops resolving and any site or email goes dark. Restoring kelpak.dot during redemption brings it back, but you should re-verify records afterward. Renew kelpak.dot on time to keep DNS live.

How do I know if merchant.pay is available when choosing merchant.pay?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
