Frequently asked questions about kars.dot

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later for online checkout?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Is sunrise mandatory to get kars.dot?

Sunrise is not mandatory for everyone; it is only the path for trademark holders to claim kars.dot early. If you have no trademark, you simply use general availability instead. domain.pay routes your kars.dot request to the correct phase at https://domain.pay/register.

Can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else when choosing loans.pay?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

How is kars.dot different from a regular .com registration?

kars.dot sits in the .PAY namespace operated by Amazon Registry Services, which is oriented around payment services, whereas a .com is general purpose. Because .PAY is newer, names like kars.dot are often available by pre-order rather than instant registration. Explore kars.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later for BNPL checkout?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
