Frequently asked questions about jpn.dot

How does the first-day .PAY pre-order attempt work for mobile money?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

Are app stores bypass payments a use for jpn.dot?

For web purchases that sidestep app-store fees, jpn.dot gives users a clean, trusted address to pay directly. The .PAY name reassures customers buying outside the app. Reserve it at https://domain.pay/register.

What should I check technically before launching a .PAY payment site?

Before launching a .PAY payment site, verify the label, DNS, SSL, redirects, monitoring, checkout security and compliance obligations. Secure or pre-order the domain through domain.pay first: https://domain.pay/register. Treat the domain as one part of a trusted payment flow.

How quickly can jpn.dot be live after registration?

Once jpn.dot is registered and you point its DNS to a host or redirect, it can resolve within typical DNS propagation times. The .PAY suffix does not slow this down. You control how fast jpn.dot goes live by configuring its records.

For mobile money, do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
