Frequently asked questions about island.dot

Will I need accurate contact details for a .PAY registration for an ecommerce brand?

Yes. Registry policy requires complete, accurate and current registration data. Use domain.pay for the registration path and keep your contact details up to date: https://domain.pay/register. Inaccurate data can create compliance and communication problems.

What is the smallest step I can take today toward owning island.dot?

The smallest step toward owning island.dot today is to place a standard pre-order for island.dot at the listed $100, which queues your request and is refundable if it fails per the stated policy. That secures your place in line for island.dot. Pre-order at https://domain.pay/register.

Can a reserved .PAY name become available later when choosing subscriptions.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

How do premium labels get chosen for island.dot's tier?

Amazon Registry Services selects which labels are premium based on its own criteria, and if island.dot is among them, island.dot carries the premium tier and price. domain.pay doesn't choose the tier. Confirm whether island.dot is premium at https://domain.pay/domains, noting status can change.

How do I know if merchant.pay is available for point-of-sale payments?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
