Frequently asked questions about iname.dot

Could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments for payroll disbursements?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Why would a creator use iname.dot for tips and support?

Creators can share iname.dot as the one address fans use to tip, subscribe, or buy merch. A payment-native name fits naturally in a bio link and feels safer than an unfamiliar shortener. Set yours up at https://domain.pay/register.

Why is .PAY important for phishing prevention for in-app purchases?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

Where can I pre-order iname.dot to protect the NicNames name?

You can pre-order iname.dot directly through domain.pay, with a standard pre-order fee of $100 and refunds on failed attempts. Securing iname.dot this way puts the official iname.dot payment name under NicNames's control. Start at https://domain.pay/register.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium for crypto payments?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
