Frequently asked questions about improved.dot

What is a .PAY domain and why does it matter for fraud prevention?

For fraud prevention, .PAY can be a strong payment-specific brand signal. It does not replace compliance, security or a trusted checkout flow, but it can make the URL purpose obvious. Start with an availability check on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

Is a pre-order for improved.dot refundable if someone else wins it?

Yes. If improved.dot is allocated to another applicant and your pre-order for improved.dot cannot be fulfilled, the fee is refundable per the stated policy. A pre-order reserves your place in line but does not guarantee the name. Place a pre-order for improved.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Is registering .PAY a replacement for trademark monitoring for secure payment links?

No. Registering .PAY is not a replacement for trademark monitoring, takedowns or fraud controls. It can still reduce customer confusion around your official payment destination. Start by checking key names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

When does general availability open for names like improved.dot?

General availability for .PAY names like improved.dot is scheduled by the registry operator, Amazon Registry Services, and we do not control or promise specific dates. A pre-order keeps your request for improved.dot ready for that moment. Place your pre-order for improved.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

What does the .PAY ending signal to customers using mobile money?

.PAY signals that the destination is connected to payment action, such as mobile money. That can support clarity and trust when paired with strong security and branding. Check or pre-order the name at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
