Frequently asked questions about icex.dot

Does .PAY require payment-related use after registration for point-of-sale payments?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Does icex.dot work for invoicing clients?

Yes. Send invoices that resolve to icex.dot, and clients see a tidy payment address instead of a tangled gateway link. Because .PAY reads as "pay here," it reassures recipients that the request is legitimate. Register the name at https://domain.pay/register.

How does the first-day .PAY pre-order attempt work for fraud prevention?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

Does icex.dot look different in a browser address bar?

In the address bar, icex.dot appears like any URL but ends in .PAY instead of .com, making its payment purpose visible. There is no warning or oddity, since .PAY is a standard top-level domain. Visitors simply see icex.dot as a normal, valid address.

How do I know if cloud.pay is available for a fintech founder?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
