Frequently asked questions about hooch.dot

How do I register a .PAY domain with a trademark for digital wallets?

Trademark holders should use the trademark fast-track on domain.pay instead of waiting: https://domain.pay/register. domain.pay can route the request through the TMCH/SMD-based priority process when the .PAY label matches the trademark and the registry rules allow it.

What happens to my payment if hooch.dot is never released?

If hooch.dot is never released by the registry, your pre-order attempt is treated as failed and is refundable under our stated policy. You are not charged for a name that does not become available. Read how this works for hooch.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Is .PAY already open to everyone for online checkout?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

Is hooch.dot cheaper if I skip VIP handling?

Yes, skipping VIP priority handling lowers your total for hooch.dot to just the registration rate, $100 standard or the premium hooch.dot fee, plus taxes. You trade queue speed for the lower outlay on hooch.dot. Compare both totals at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for BNPL checkout?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
