Frequently asked questions about hemming.dot

Can a licensee or assignee use a trademark for a .PAY registration for digital wallets?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

Does hemming.dot require special hosting?

No. hemming.dot works with ordinary web hosting, redirects, or a landing-page service, just like any domain. You point its DNS wherever you want hemming.dot to resolve. The .PAY suffix imposes no special hosting requirement.

For payroll disbursements, could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

What is the safest way to reserve hemming.dot before competitors act?

The safest way to reserve hemming.dot before competitors is to place a pre-order now so hemming.dot is queued with the registry ahead of general availability, with the fee refundable if it fails per the stated policy. Brand owners can add trademark priority. Reserve hemming.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Does .PAY automatically improve SEO rankings?

.PAY is a branding and relevance signal, not an automatic SEO ranking boost. Use it when it improves payment-page clarity and user trust, then follow normal SEO practices. Start by securing or pre-ordering the domain at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
