Frequently asked questions about heli.dot

For BNPL checkout, do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.

Can I run heli.dot entirely on a static host like GitHub Pages?

Yes. Point heli.dot at the static host using their required A/CNAME records, add heli.dot as the custom domain in the host's settings, and enable their automatic HTTPS. Static hosting is fast and cheap for heli.dot when you don't need server-side code.

Who operates the .PAY extension, and where can a remittance app get one for a remittance app?

Amazon Registry Services operates the .PAY top-level domain. A remittance app can search, pre-order or start a trademark-priority route through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay is the customer-facing place to act, while registry rules still control availability and eligibility.

What is included in the price of heli.dot?

The price of heli.dot covers the annual registration of the name in the .PAY zone for one year, at the $100 standard rate or the registry premium fee for heli.dot. Optional extras like VIP priority are added separately at checkout. See what is included for heli.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Can I move a .PAY domain between registrars for fraud prevention?

Transfers may be subject to registry, registrar and phase-specific rules, especially for LRP names. Start with domain.pay for the registration path and confirm eligibility before any transfer plan: https://domain.pay/register.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
