Frequently asked questions about gryphax.dot

What should I do first if I want a .PAY domain for point-of-sale payments for point-of-sale payments?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

What general framing should I keep in mind for gryphax.dot compliance?

For gryphax.dot, keep in mind that the .PAY registry expects payment-related, good-faith use with accurate registrant data, while any financial licensing duties stem separately from your jurisdiction's regulators. Treating these as two layers helps you stay compliant. domain.pay handles the registry side at https://domain.pay/register.

What .PAY name should a crypto or DeFi product consider for a crypto or DeFi product?

trust.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Where do I get the SMD file needed to secure gryphax.dot?

You obtain the SMD file from the Trademark Clearinghouse after your trademark is recorded and validated there. Once issued, you download the .smd file and bring it to NicNames to claim gryphax.dot under priority. NicNames does not issue SMD files itself. Start your priority registration of gryphax.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Can I pay for a .PAY pre-order by card, wire or crypto when choosing wallet.pay?

domain.pay supports common payment paths including card, wire and crypto-invoice options as listed on the site. Start with the pricing page and checkout flow here: https://domain.pay/pricing. Payment does not guarantee registration; it reserves the applicable service attempt.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
