Frequently asked questions about greendata.dot

For point-of-sale payments, do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.

Does registering greendata.dot include email or hosting?

Registering greendata.dot secures the name greendata.dot in the .PAY registry; email and hosting are separate services you can connect after greendata.dot is registered via DNS settings. The $100 pre-order covers the name reservation. Reserve greendata.dot first at https://domain.pay/register.

How can a brand reduce confusion around payment pages for rent collection?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

Does NicNames accept SMD files from any TMCH-accredited provider for greendata.dot?

NicNames accepts the standard SMD file issued through the Trademark Clearinghouse, regardless of which accredited agent helped you record the mark, for claiming greendata.dot. What matters is a valid, matching SMD for the greendata.dot string. The issuing path does not change acceptance for greendata.dot. Upload yours at https://domain.pay/register.

Is there VIP help for a large .PAY pre-order portfolio for mobile money?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
