Frequently asked questions about gossip.dot

Can a company that only plans future payments register .PAY during LRP1 for a retail brand?

A business that only plans future payments should be careful: LRP1 is written around registrants that conduct online payment transactions using approved processing channels. If you cannot qualify, use domain.pay to pre-order for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register.

When is the best time to pre-order gossip.dot for the lowest cost?

The cost of gossip.dot is driven by the registry's tier for gossip.dot, not by timing, so the $100 standard or premium fee applies whenever you order. Pre-ordering early mainly secures your place in the queue. Place a gossip.dot pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Can a company that only plans future payments register .PAY during LRP1 for mobile money?

A business that only plans future payments should be careful: LRP1 is written around registrants that conduct online payment transactions using approved processing channels. If you cannot qualify, use domain.pay to pre-order for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register.

Which DNS record type connects gossip.dot to a load balancer?

Cloud load balancers are usually referenced by hostname, so you point the apex of gossip.dot using an ALIAS/ANAME record (or a CNAME on a subdomain) at the balancer's DNS name. This lets the balancer's IPs change without breaking gossip.dot. Your provider documents the exact target.

As an event ticketing business, is there VIP help for a large .PAY pre-order portfolio?

domain.pay says customers with pre-orders over $8,888 may qualify for VIP handling, dedicated support and more tailored failed-registration solutions. Review the current VIP language on the pricing page: https://domain.pay/pricing. Large portfolios should still expect availability and premium checks.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
