Frequently asked questions about godsent.dot

Before choosing donate.pay, can a trademark owner register a matching .PAY domain now?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

What is DNSSEC and can I enable it for godsent.dot?

DNSSEC cryptographically signs DNS responses so resolvers can detect tampering for godsent.dot. If your DNS host and the registry support it, you publish a DS record so godsent.dot is validated end to end. Enable DNSSEC for godsent.dot only when both sides are configured to avoid resolution failures.

What are the current .PAY launch dates in 2026 and 2027 for a remittance app?

Current ICANN dates: .PAY Sunrise is April 13–July 20, 2026; LRP1 is July 20, 2026–February 1, 2027; Trademark Claims is February 1–May 2, 2027. For registration or pre-order action, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

What is an SMD file and do I need one for godsent.dot?

A Signed Mark Data (SMD) file is the cryptographic proof issued by the Trademark Clearinghouse that you own a registered mark, and it lets you claim godsent.dot during sunrise. You only need it if godsent.dot corresponds to your trademark and you want priority. Otherwise a standard pre-order for godsent.dot is enough.

How do I know if merchant.pay is available for mobile money?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
