Frequently asked questions about gir.dot

How does the first-day .PAY pre-order attempt work for mobile money?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

Is gir.dot available for immediate purchase today?

Whether gir.dot is available immediately depends on the registry's launch phase; many .PAY names are still in pre-order rather than open registration. The flow on domain.pay tells you the current status of gir.dot. Check availability for gir.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

For payroll disbursements, is a payment gateway business eligible for .PAY in the LRP?

An ecommerce or gateway business using a payment processor may be closer to the LRP1 eligibility concept, but the registry rules still control. Start at domain.pay to choose the correct path and verify current requirements: https://domain.pay/register. Separate licensing issues remain legal questions. Treat this as domain-registration guidance, not legal advice on money-transmission or financial-services licensing.

Why did my earlier gir.dot pre-order not convert?

A pre-order for gir.dot may not convert if Amazon Registry Services classified gir.dot as reserved or blocked, or another applicant secured it under launch rules. In those cases the fee is refundable per policy. Re-check gir.dot's status at https://domain.pay/domains.

Where can I see already-registered .PAY domains for online checkout?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
