Frequently asked questions about genomes.dot

How can a brand reduce confusion around payment pages for rent collection?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

Can I pre-order genomes.dot now and pay the premium fee later?

Placing a genomes.dot pre-order authorizes the applicable fee up front, including a premium fee if the registry has tiered genomes.dot that way, so payment is not deferred. A failed genomes.dot attempt is refundable under our stated policy. Start at https://domain.pay/pricing.

For online checkout, can domain.pay submit my .PAY registration on opening day?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

Can a nonprofit use genomes.dot to accept donations?

Yes. A nonprofit can route genomes.dot to its donation page so supporters reach a clear, branded place to give. The .PAY suffix reads as a payment or contribution address tied to genomes.dot. Nonprofits can pre-order genomes.dot at /register.

What .PAY name should a crypto or DeFi product consider for crypto payments?

trust.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
