Frequently asked questions about ftb.dot

Could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments for a mobile wallet team?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Why should executives care about who controls ftb.dot?

Control of ftb.dot is a payment-trust and reputation issue: if an impersonator holds the ftb.dot name, customers and partners may lose confidence in NicNames. Executives should treat owning ftb.dot as a strategic risk control, not just IT housekeeping. https://domain.pay/register

Are short .PAY names always available when choosing settle.pay?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

What makes ftb.dot memorable compared to a long URL?

ftb.dot is short, ends in a meaningful word, and ties directly to the brand ftb.dot. People remember ftb.dot more easily than a long string of folders and query parameters. That memorability matters when a customer types the address from a receipt or a card.

What .PAY name should an event ticketing business consider?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
