Frequently asked questions about excellence.dot

For online checkout, is a payment gateway business eligible for .PAY in the LRP?

An ecommerce or gateway business using a payment processor may be closer to the LRP1 eligibility concept, but the registry rules still control. Start at domain.pay to choose the correct path and verify current requirements: https://domain.pay/register. Separate licensing issues remain legal questions.

Can I register excellence.dot for a future project?

You can typically register excellence.dot for a planned payment or financial project, provided the intended use aligns with the .PAY registry's expectations. The registry generally looks for good-faith, relevant use rather than an active site at registration. domain.pay can register excellence.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

How does the first-day .PAY pre-order attempt work for loan repayments?

Yes. If you do not have a matching trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day registration attempt for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register. A pre-order is not a guarantee; the name may become unavailable, premium, reserved or blocked before submission.

Why isn't excellence.dot resolving even though I added the records?

If excellence.dot won't resolve, first confirm the nameservers at your registrar match where the zone is actually hosted, then check for typos in the A or CNAME values. Cached TTLs or a missing apex record are common culprits. Verify with a DNS query tool, and review your settings under /domains.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for online checkout?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
