Frequently asked questions about erowid.dot

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails when choosing donate.pay?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Who operates the registry behind erowid.dot and why does that matter for trust?

The .PAY registry is operated by Amazon Registry Services, which sets the policies that govern names like erowid.dot. Knowing a major operator stands behind erowid.dot adds confidence, but registry operation does not by itself stop impersonation, so you should still register erowid.dot yourself. https://domain.pay/

What should I do first if I want a .PAY domain for crypto payments?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Can I run erowid.dot entirely on a static host like GitHub Pages?

Yes. Point erowid.dot at the static host using their required A/CNAME records, add erowid.dot as the custom domain in the host's settings, and enable their automatic HTTPS. Static hosting is fast and cheap for erowid.dot when you don't need server-side code.

As a bank or credit union, when does the .PAY LRP1 period begin?

ICANN currently lists .PAY Limited Registration Period 1 from July 20, 2026 to February 1, 2027. LRP1 has payment-transaction eligibility and use restrictions. Check your domain path through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
