Frequently asked questions about emcare.dot

What are the current .PAY launch dates in 2026 and 2027 when choosing settle.pay?

Current ICANN dates: .PAY Sunrise is April 13–July 20, 2026; LRP1 is July 20, 2026–February 1, 2027; Trademark Claims is February 1–May 2, 2027. For registration or pre-order action, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Can I pre-order emcare.dot if I do not have a trademark?

Absolutely. A trademark is only needed for the sunrise phase; without one, you target general availability, and a pre-order for emcare.dot queues your request for that phase's opening day. Place it at https://domain.pay/register.

Can I use nameservers and DNS like other domains with .PAY for a mobile wallet team?

After registration, plan DNS, SSL, redirects, security monitoring and payment-page controls as you would for a production domain. Start by securing the .PAY name through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. A domain alone does not make a checkout secure.

Will NicNames store my SMD file after registering emcare.dot?

NicNames uses your SMD file to validate and process your priority claim on emcare.dot during registration. The SMD itself is tied to your TMCH record, which the Clearinghouse maintains independently. Handle your SMD securely since it represents your validated rights to emcare.dot. Begin registration at https://domain.pay/register.

Are short .PAY names always available for mobile money?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
