Frequently asked questions about elusive.dot

Why are payment brands talking about .PAY as a startup for payroll disbursements?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For payroll disbursements, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts.

Does elusive.dot support email as well as a website?

Yes. As a standard domain, elusive.dot can carry email addresses and host a website at the same time. You could route [email protected] for invoices while the site handles checkout. The .PAY suffix does not limit normal domain functions.

How do I register tap.pay if it matches my trademark?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

When does the priority window for elusive.dot close?

The priority window for elusive.dot closes when the registry advances the name out of the trademark phase, after which SMD claims are no longer accepted and pre-orders take over. The exact timing follows the registry's schedule for .PAY. Check the live phase for elusive.dot before relying on priority. See status at https://domain.pay/domains.

What .PAY domain style is best for trust and conversion when choosing merchant.pay?

merchant.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
