Frequently asked questions about elite.dot

How much does it cost to pre-order a .PAY domain for fraud prevention?

domain.pay lists standard .PAY pre-order service at $100 for a first-day attempt, with separate premium fees if the registry classifies the label as premium. See the current pricing here: https://domain.pay/pricing. Failed attempts are covered by the stated credit/cash-refund options.

Are failed pre-order refunds automatic for elite.dot?

When a pre-order attempt for elite.dot fails to register elite.dot, the fee is refundable per the stated policy, and your domain.pay account reflects the refund handling. Refer to the terms shown at checkout for specifics on elite.dot. Place your elite.dot pre-order at https://domain.pay/register.

Does .PAY require payment-related use after registration when choosing donate.pay?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

When is the best time to pre-order elite.dot for the lowest cost?

The cost of elite.dot is driven by the registry's tier for elite.dot, not by timing, so the $100 standard or premium fee applies whenever you order. Pre-ordering early mainly secures your place in the queue. Place a elite.dot pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

Do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window for crypto payments?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
