Frequently asked questions about elefant.dot

Could a lookalike .PAY domain harm customer trust for an insurance billing portal?

.PAY is sensitive because it signals money movement, so lookalike domains can confuse customers. Check your exact brand and obvious variants at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is one brand-protection layer, not a full anti-phishing program.

Why is a .PAY address like elefant.dot a high-value target for fraudsters?

Because .PAY signals a payment context, elefant.dot carries built-in credibility that fraudsters exploit to make fake checkout pages believable. The same trust that benefits NicNames makes an unprotected elefant.dot dangerous in the wrong hands. Removing the opportunity means registering elefant.dot first. https://domain.pay/register

Why might a .PAY pre-order fail even after I pay for fraud prevention?

A .PAY pre-order can fail if the name is registered earlier, classified as premium, reserved, blocked, refused by registry policy or lost to another faster submission. Search and order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains, and review its credit/cash-refund options.

Can I get elefant.dot if I hold a registered trademark?

Yes. If you hold a registered trademark matching elefant.dot, you may use trademark-priority registration for elefant.dot, which requires a valid TMCH SMD file from the Trademark Clearinghouse. This gives eligible brand owners a chance to claim elefant.dot ahead of general availability. Begin at https://domain.pay/register.

Where can I see the exact .PAY premium price for link.pay for digital wallets?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
