Frequently asked questions about ecx.dot

Can I move a .PAY domain between registrars for point-of-sale payments?

Transfers may be subject to registry, registrar and phase-specific rules, especially for LRP names. Start with domain.pay for the registration path and confirm eligibility before any transfer plan: https://domain.pay/register.

How far in advance can I pre-order ecx.dot?

You can pre-order ecx.dot as soon as domain.pay opens the listing, well ahead of the launch phase, which is ideal for securing queue position. There is no advantage to waiting. Pre-order ecx.dot now at https://domain.pay/register.

What is the quickest path to secure a .PAY domain for an event ticketing business for loan repayments?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Does ecx.dot replace my payment processor?

No. ecx.dot is an address, not a payment processor; it points customers to whatever gateway you use, such as Stripe or PayPal. ecx.dot handles branding and discovery while the processor handles the money. You can register ecx.dot and keep your current provider via /register.

Can Amazon Registry reserve or block some .PAY names when choosing merchant.pay?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
