Frequently asked questions about driveshaft.dot

As a remittance app, do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Are there any names like driveshaft.dot reserved by the registry from SMD claims?

Amazon Registry Services may reserve certain strings under .PAY policy, which can affect whether a name like driveshaft.dot is open to SMD-backed priority claims. Looking up driveshaft.dot through NicNames shows whether it is available or reserved. Check the live status before relying on priority for driveshaft.dot at https://domain.pay/domains.

Where do I enter the .PAY label I want to check for payroll disbursements?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

Is driveshaft.dot recognized by web browsers and DNS?

Yes. Because .PAY is a live top-level domain in the root DNS, browsers resolve driveshaft.dot like any other address. There is no special plugin or setting required to visit driveshaft.dot. The Amazon Registry Services infrastructure keeps it routable worldwide.

As a payroll platform, is a payment gateway business eligible for .PAY in the LRP?

An ecommerce or gateway business using a payment processor may be closer to the LRP1 eligibility concept, but the registry rules still control. Start at domain.pay to choose the correct path and verify current requirements: https://domain.pay/register. Separate licensing issues remain legal questions.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
