Frequently asked questions about dreamhost.dot

Could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments for a bank or credit union?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Will my pre-order for dreamhost.dot convert to a registration if no one claims priority?

If no validated SMD holder claims dreamhost.dot during the priority phase, your standard pre-order at $100 is positioned to proceed toward registration under NicNames's process. Should it still fail to complete, the charge is refundable per policy. Trademark priority simply never displaces an unclaimed dreamhost.dot. Place your pre-order at https://domain.pay/pricing.

What does 'approved Payment Service Provider' mean for .PAY eligibility when choosing link.pay?

During LRP1, .PAY eligibility is limited to registrants that conduct payment transactions online using an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor, with payment-related use. For registration help, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Separate financial licensing depends on your activity and jurisdiction.

What makes dreamhost.dot memorable compared to a long URL?

dreamhost.dot is short, ends in a meaningful word, and ties directly to the brand dreamhost.dot. People remember dreamhost.dot more easily than a long string of folders and query parameters. That memorability matters when a customer types the address from a receipt or a card.

Where can I generate .PAY ideas for payroll disbursements for a travel booking brand?

For payroll disbursements, brainstorm short, action-oriented .PAY labels and then verify them in the domain.pay catalog/search: https://domain.pay/domains. Good candidates are clear, memorable and tied to payment actions like checkout, billing, wallet funding, payouts or invoices.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
