Frequently asked questions about donates.dot

What happens to my money if the .PAY registration attempt fails for fraud prevention?

domain.pay states that if a registration attempt is unsuccessful, you receive 100% credit toward another domain or may request an 80% cash refund. Review the live refund wording before ordering: https://domain.pay/pricing. Premium, reserved, blocked or already-registered names can still prevent success.

Can NicNames secure donates.dot as a trademark holder?

If NicNames holds a registered trademark for donates.dot, it can typically use a TMCH SMD file to claim donates.dot via trademark-priority registration before general availability. This is a common path for brand protection. domain.pay manages the process; start at https://domain.pay/register.

Before choosing wallet.pay, what if my trademark has spaces or special characters and I want .PAY?

.PAY Sunrise follows identical-match rules for the trademark text, including how spaces and some special characters are handled. Do not guess the label; check it through domain.pay and use the trademark path if eligible: https://domain.pay/register. A valid TMCH/SMD record may be required.

What is the simplest way to explain donates.dot to a non-technical person?

Tell them donates.dot is a web address that ends in the word pay, so it is the place to go to pay donates.dot. It works like any website link but its name advertises its purpose. They can reach it just by typing donates.dot into a browser.

As a retail brand, is .PAY useful for an invoice-payment portal?

Yes. .PAY can fit invoice-payment portals because it tells customers the link is about paying. Search options such as brand-specific or invoice-related labels on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Confirm availability and premium status before adding the URL to invoices.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
