Frequently asked questions about desertrace.dot

Can I use nameservers and DNS like other domains with .PAY for payroll disbursements?

After registration, plan DNS, SSL, redirects, security monitoring and payment-page controls as you would for a production domain. Start by securing the .PAY name through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. A domain alone does not make a checkout secure.

Can I update my SMD if my trademark details change before claiming desertrace.dot?

If your trademark details change, you update the underlying TMCH record and re-export a fresh SMD before claiming desertrace.dot, so the file reflects the current validated mark. Submitting an outdated SMD risks rejection for desertrace.dot. Keep the record and file aligned, then register at https://domain.pay/register.

Before choosing bank.pay, can a licensee or assignee use a trademark for a .PAY registration?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

What does it mean if desertrace.dot is marked premium?

A premium tag means the registry — Amazon Registry Services — has classified desertrace.dot as higher-value, so desertrace.dot carries a special wholesale price rather than the standard fee. Premium status is set by the registry, not by domain.pay, and it can change over time. See current pricing context at https://domain.pay/pricing and re-check desertrace.dot for its live status.

Are short .PAY names always available?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
