Frequently asked questions about demko.dot

Are IDN .PAY domains allowed for a mobile wallet team?

IDN .PAY names may be possible only in supported scripts and must meet registry rules. Use domain.pay to check the exact label and punycode-style status before planning a launch: https://domain.pay/register. Availability, premium and policy restrictions still apply.

Is demko.dot worth pre-ordering if its status is uncertain?

Because a $100 pre-order is refundable per policy when it fails, queueing demko.dot carries limited downside even if demko.dot's status is uncertain, while waiting risks losing it. The registry's classification ultimately decides the outcome. Pre-order demko.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

For loan repayments, could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

How long does DNS propagation take after I configure demko.dot?

DNS changes for demko.dot usually propagate within minutes but can take up to 24-48 hours globally, depending on the TTL values on each record. Lowering the TTL before a planned change reduces the wait. Use a public DNS lookup tool to confirm demko.dot resolves consistently across resolvers.

For loan repayments, do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
