Frequently asked questions about crankshaft.dot

What should I know about Amazon Registry and .PAY before registering for payroll disbursements?

Amazon Registry Services operates the .PAY top-level domain. A regional bank can search, pre-order or start a trademark-priority route through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay is the customer-facing place to act, while registry rules still control availability and eligibility.

Does pre-ordering crankshaft.dot affect any other names I want?

A pre-order for crankshaft.dot is independent of other names, so you can separately queue additional .PAY candidates without affecting your crankshaft.dot request. Each pre-order reserves its own place in line. Browse more options at https://domain.pay/domains and order at https://domain.pay/register.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for an ecommerce brand?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Why was .PAY created for payment use?

The .PAY TLD, operated by Amazon Registry Services, was created to give payments and financial services a clearly themed namespace, which is why crankshaft.dot may carry payment-related validation expectations. This helps signal trust to users. domain.pay can register crankshaft.dot within this namespace at https://domain.pay/register.

What does it mean if a .PAY name is premium?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
