Frequently asked questions about cosmology.dot

Who qualifies for a .PAY domain in the Limited Registration Period for payroll disbursements?

During LRP1, .PAY eligibility is limited to registrants that conduct payment transactions online using an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor, with payment-related use. For registration help, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Separate financial licensing depends on your activity and jurisdiction.

Is there a risk my SMD leaks if I share it to claim cosmology.dot?

Treat your SMD like a credential: only submit it through the trusted NicNames flow when claiming cosmology.dot, not over casual channels. While it encodes validated mark data, careless sharing is poor practice. Use the official registration path for cosmology.dot to keep it safe. Begin at https://domain.pay/register.

For mobile money, can a company that only plans future payments register .PAY during LRP1?

A business that only plans future payments should be careful: LRP1 is written around registrants that conduct online payment transactions using approved processing channels. If you cannot qualify, use domain.pay to pre-order for broader availability: https://domain.pay/register.

Can I run cosmology.dot entirely on a static host like GitHub Pages?

Yes. Point cosmology.dot at the static host using their required A/CNAME records, add cosmology.dot as the custom domain in the host's settings, and enable their automatic HTTPS. Static hosting is fast and cheap for cosmology.dot when you don't need server-side code.

Can I browse alternative .PAY names if my first choice is taken for a travel booking brand?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
