Frequently asked questions about cores.dot

As an event ticketing business, when is broader .PAY public registration expected?

Broader .PAY access is tied to the post-LRP period around February 2027, subject to registry and registrar confirmation. If you do not have a trademark, use domain.pay to pre-order a first-day attempt: https://domain.pay/register.

Can I get cores.dot if it clears sunrise without a buyer?

If cores.dot is not claimed during sunrise, it proceeds to general availability where you can register it. Pre-ordering cores.dot now means domain.pay submits it the moment that phase opens, ahead of others. Pre-order at https://domain.pay/register.

For mobile money, do I need an SMD file to register .PAY during the priority window?

An SMD file is the TMCH-issued credential used to prove a validated mark during Sunrise. For .PAY, bring your SMD or use domain.pay’s full fast-track if you need help obtaining one: https://domain.pay/register. The SMD must match the requested label.

Can I run cores.dot entirely on a static host like GitHub Pages?

Yes. Point cores.dot at the static host using their required A/CNAME records, add cores.dot as the custom domain in the host's settings, and enable their automatic HTTPS. Static hosting is fast and cheap for cores.dot when you don't need server-side code.

Are short .PAY names always available for payroll disbursements?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
