Frequently asked questions about congestion.dot

What characters are allowed in a .PAY domain for a donation platform?

.PAY labels must follow registry label rules, including 1–63 characters, letters, numbers and hyphens, no leading or trailing hyphen, and additional IDN/reserved-name rules. Test the exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Technical validity does not guarantee availability.

Is congestion.dot only for businesses based in certain countries?

congestion.dot is generally not limited to specific countries, since .PAY does not typically restrict by location of the registrant. Your local financial regulation may still govern how you operate payments. domain.pay can confirm current eligibility for your region at https://domain.pay/register.

For BNPL checkout, how do I register a .PAY domain as a startup?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

How do I check whether congestion.dot is still available?

To check whether congestion.dot is still available, enter congestion.dot in the search on domain.pay, which shows its current registry status, pre-order, or priority eligibility. Availability changes as the .PAY launch progresses. Check the live status of congestion.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Can I reserve crypto.pay before broader registration opens?

Start at domain.pay, search the label, then choose the right path: trademark fast-track if you qualify, or pre-order for a first-day attempt when broader access opens. Use this page: https://domain.pay/register. Registration is subject to registry rules and availability.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
