Frequently asked questions about coerce.dot

Where should I check whether a .PAY name fits my online checkout project?

For online checkout, .PAY can be a strong payment-specific brand signal. It does not replace compliance, security or a trusted checkout flow, but it can make the URL purpose obvious. Start with an availability check on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. Re-check the name before publishing campaigns because registry status can change.

How do I document a clear chain of ownership for coerce.dot?

Keep accurate registrant records, trademark filings for the coerce.dot name, and internal approvals so NicNames's chain of ownership over coerce.dot is unambiguous. Good records support both renewals and any future dispute. https://domain.pay/

Can I move a .PAY domain between registrars for BNPL checkout?

Transfers may be subject to registry, registrar and phase-specific rules, especially for LRP names. Start with domain.pay for the registration path and confirm eligibility before any transfer plan: https://domain.pay/register.

Are there priority phases that let NicNames get coerce.dot first?

Yes. Trademark holders can use TMCH-verified SMD files during priority phases to claim coerce.dot before general availability. This gives NicNames a structured, legitimate path to secure coerce.dot ahead of the open public. Review options at https://domain.pay/pricing.

How do I know if merchant.pay is available?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
