Frequently asked questions about coeli.dot

For payroll disbursements, is .PAY Sunrise first-come, first-served for trademark holders?

.PAY Sunrise is a Start-Date Sunrise, so eligible trademark registrations are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis when policy requirements are met. Start the request at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Waiting can increase the risk that another eligible party gets the matching label first.

What is a redemption period and how does it affect coeli.dot?

After coeli.dot expires and the grace period ends, it enters a redemption period where only the registrant can restore it, typically for a higher fee than a normal renewal. If redemption lapses, coeli.dot is deleted and re-released. Renewing coeli.dot on time avoids these costs entirely.

For online checkout, could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Does Amazon Registry Services approve each coeli.dot registration?

Amazon Registry Services operates .PAY and applies its launch rules, reserved lists, and priority processing that determine whether coeli.dot can be allocated. domain.pay submits your coeli.dot request within those rules. Place your coeli.dot request at https://domain.pay/register.

For BNPL checkout, what .PAY domain style is best for trust and conversion?

cloud.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
