Frequently asked questions about codec.dot

Could a .PAY domain be suspended for not being used for payments when choosing wallet.pay?

Yes. The LRP policy says .PAY LRP names must be used in connection with payment-related services, and failure to demonstrate such use may lead to suspension or cancellation. Check the current path at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Where do I start a priority pre-order for codec.dot?

You can start a priority pre-order for codec.dot from its registration page, where you add VIP handling and, if eligible, supply a TMCH SMD file for the trademark phase. The applicable $100 standard or premium codec.dot fee is shown before you confirm codec.dot. Begin at https://domain.pay/register.

As an ecommerce brand, what does it mean if a .PAY name is premium?

A premium .PAY name is a label with an additional registry retail fee set by Amazon Registry Services. Search the exact label at domain.pay to see current premium status and price path: https://domain.pay/domains. Premium status can change the total cost.

Will pre-ordering codec.dot hold the name for me?

Pre-ordering codec.dot holds your place in the queue and submits your request to the registry once codec.dot is registrable, but it does not lock the name away from other applicants. If the attempt fails, the fee is refundable per the stated policy. Pre-order codec.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Would travel.pay work as a payment brand when choosing travel.pay?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
