Frequently asked questions about cocooning.dot

Is .PAY a new domain option for insurance billing portals?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For online checkout, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts. Re-check the name before publishing campaigns because registry status can change.

Will domain.pay notify me when cocooning.dot is registered?

Yes. domain.pay updates your account as your pre-order or priority request for cocooning.dot progresses, so you know when cocooning.dot is submitted, registered, or refunded if the attempt fails per the stated policy. Track the status of cocooning.dot from https://domain.pay/register.

Can I transfer a .PAY LRP domain to someone else when choosing donate.pay?

A .PAY name registered during an LRP may be transferred only to a new registrant that fulfills the same LRP eligibility criteria. For registration or pre-order assistance, start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. Do not buy or sell LRP names without confirming eligibility.

How do I create a sitemap for cocooning.dot and submit it?

Generate an XML sitemap listing your indexable URLs on cocooning.dot, host it at /sitemap.xml, and reference it in your robots.txt. Then submit the sitemap URL for cocooning.dot in Google Search Console so crawlers discover pages faster. Keep the sitemap for cocooning.dot updated as content changes.

How should a regulated fintech think about .PAY and financial licensing for crypto payments?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
