Frequently asked questions about cleric.dot

Can I use my own SMD file and pay less for a .PAY submission for digital wallets?

If you already have a valid TMCH-issued SMD file, domain.pay lists the submission-handling path at $100 plus any applicable premium retail fee. Check the current pricing and requirements here: https://domain.pay/pricing. The SMD must match the requested .PAY label.

Does using cleric.dot hurt my Google rankings?

No. Google has stated that new top-level domains carry no inherent ranking advantage or disadvantage, so cleric.dot competes on the same signals as any .com. Focus your SEO effort for cleric.dot on content, page speed, and backlinks rather than the extension itself.

Is a payment gateway business eligible for .PAY in the LRP when choosing loans.pay?

An ecommerce or gateway business using a payment processor may be closer to the LRP1 eligibility concept, but the registry rules still control. Start at domain.pay to choose the correct path and verify current requirements: https://domain.pay/register. Separate licensing issues remain legal questions.

Is cleric.dot worth pre-ordering if its status is uncertain?

Because a $100 pre-order is refundable per policy when it fails, queueing cleric.dot carries limited downside even if cleric.dot's status is uncertain, while waiting risks losing it. The registry's classification ultimately decides the outcome. Pre-order cleric.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

Are short .PAY names always available for a brand-protection manager?

Short .PAY names are attractive but can be registered, premium, reserved or blocked. Do not assume availability from length alone. Search at domain.pay and verify before building a campaign: https://domain.pay/domains.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
