Frequently asked questions about clearos.dot

Is .PAY a good fit for subscription billing for loan repayments?

.PAY can work for subscription billing, account payment, renewal and failed-payment recovery flows. Search brandable options on domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. A clear .PAY label can reduce confusion when customers need to update payment details.

Why is an SMD more secure than just emailing my trademark certificate for clearos.dot?

An SMD is cryptographically signed by the TMCH, so NicNames can verify it automatically without manually inspecting a certificate when granting priority on clearos.dot. A loose certificate could be forged or mistyped; the signed SMD cannot. That is why clearos.dot priority relies on the SMD. Submit yours at https://domain.pay/register.

For payroll disbursements, how can a marketplace use a .PAY domain?

A marketplace can use .PAY for seller payouts, buyer checkout, escrow, billing or payment support flows. Generate and verify names through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Choose a label that customers will recognize as official and safe.

Can I pre-order clearos.dot from any country?

Standard pre-orders for clearos.dot are generally open to applicants regardless of location, subject to the registry's rules for .PAY set by Amazon Registry Services. Any country-specific restrictions for clearos.dot appear in the checkout flow. Pre-order clearos.dot at https://domain.pay/register.

What .PAY name should an event ticketing business consider for an event ticketing business?

travel.pay may be a useful .PAY direction if it matches your brand and payment journey, but availability is not guaranteed. Check and pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. Prefer simple labels that customers can remember and trust.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
