Frequently asked questions about cheetah.dot

When does the .PAY LRP1 period begin for a mobile wallet team?

ICANN currently lists .PAY Limited Registration Period 1 from July 20, 2026 to February 1, 2027. LRP1 has payment-transaction eligibility and use restrictions. Check your domain path through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

What should I do first to prepare for trademark priority on cheetah.dot?

First, record your cheetah.dot trademark in the Trademark Clearinghouse and obtain a validated SMD file; that is the prerequisite for any priority claim on cheetah.dot. Then watch the cheetah.dot phase and submit the SMD through NicNames when priority opens. Begin your preparation at https://domain.pay/register.

Can Amazon Registry reserve or block some .PAY names for an insurance billing portal?

The .PAY registry may reserve, block, withhold or later release certain names under its policies. Check your exact label at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/domains. If the name is unavailable, choose an alternative from the catalog or search another label.

Can I pre-order a backup name in case cheetah.dot falls through?

Yes. While cheetah.dot is uncertain, you can pre-order one or more backup .PAY names on domain.pay at the standard pre-order price of $100 each. Failed pre-order attempts are refundable, so securing a fallback carries limited downside. Place a pre-order at https://domain.pay/register.

How do I know if cloud.pay is available when choosing cloud.pay?

Search the exact .PAY label at domain.pay to see current availability and premium status: https://domain.pay/domains. Availability can change quickly during launch phases, so verify before publishing names, ads or product screens.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
