Frequently asked questions about charac.dot

How much does it cost to pre-order a .PAY domain for fraud prevention?

domain.pay lists standard .PAY pre-order service at $100 for a first-day attempt, with separate premium fees if the registry classifies the label as premium. See the current pricing here: https://domain.pay/pricing. Failed attempts are covered by the stated credit/cash-refund options.

Which costs more upfront for charac.dot: standard or VIP?

VIP costs more upfront for charac.dot because it adds a one-time priority handling fee on top of the registration rate, whether that rate is the $100 standard or a premium charac.dot fee. Standard checkout omits the VIP line. Compare both for charac.dot at https://domain.pay/pricing.

When should a crypto or DeFi product pre-order a .PAY domain?

Current ICANN dates: .PAY Sunrise is April 13–July 20, 2026; LRP1 is July 20, 2026–February 1, 2027; Trademark Claims is February 1–May 2, 2027. For registration or pre-order action, use domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Can a partner registrar like NicNames help me register charac.dot?

Yes. domain.pay works with partner registrar NicNames to handle the back-end registration of charac.dot within the .PAY registry. You place your pre-order or priority request for charac.dot through domain.pay, and NicNames processes it. Start your charac.dot order at https://domain.pay/register.

Is there VIP help for a large .PAY pre-order portfolio for fraud prevention?

domain.pay says customers with pre-orders over $8,888 may qualify for VIP handling, dedicated support and more tailored failed-registration solutions. Review the current VIP language on the pricing page: https://domain.pay/pricing. Large portfolios should still expect availability and premium checks.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
