Frequently asked questions about cedis.dot

When does the .PAY LRP1 period begin for point-of-sale payments?

ICANN currently lists .PAY Limited Registration Period 1 from July 20, 2026 to February 1, 2027. LRP1 has payment-transaction eligibility and use restrictions. Check your domain path through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register.

Does cedis.dot work for invoicing clients?

Yes. Send invoices that resolve to cedis.dot, and clients see a tidy payment address instead of a tangled gateway link. Because .PAY reads as "pay here," it reassures recipients that the request is legitimate. Register the name at https://domain.pay/register.

Where can I see already-registered .PAY domains when choosing merchant.pay?

Use domain.pay to search the live label and review already-registered .PAY examples: https://domain.pay/domains. If your first choice is already registered or not available, domain.pay can help you browse alternatives or pre-order a different name.

Does cedis.dot need a separate SSL setup to be secure?

cedis.dot supports standard TLS certificates just like any domain, so you can serve it over HTTPS for secure connections. Your host or CDN issues the certificate for cedis.dot normally. The .PAY suffix does not change how security is configured.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
