Frequently asked questions about causse.dot

Do I need a financial license to register a .PAY domain during LRP1 for online checkout?

The .PAY LRP policy does not make owning a domain a financial license. LRP1 eligibility is tied to conducting online payment transactions through an approved Payment Service Provider or third-party payment processor and payment-related use. Use domain.pay for the domain path: https://domain.pay/register; ask counsel about licensing.

What trust signal does causse.dot send compared to a free subdomain?

A dedicated causse.dot on a payment-purpose TLD signals an official, controlled payment property, while a free subdomain looks generic and easier to fake. Customers paying NicNames gain confidence from the clear causse.dot name. Establish it at https://domain.pay/register.

Is .PAY a new domain option for insurance billing portals?

.PAY is a payment-focused top-level domain operated by Amazon Registry Services. For online checkout, it can make the payment purpose of a URL clearer than a generic address. Check or pre-order through domain.pay: https://domain.pay/. domain.pay handles the customer path for trademark-priority registration or first-day pre-order attempts. Re-check the name before publishing campaigns because registry status can change.

How do I set up email on causse.dot?

To send and receive mail at causse.dot, choose a mailbox provider, then add their MX records to your DNS plus SPF, DKIM, and DMARC TXT records for deliverability. Mail won't flow until the MX records for causse.dot propagate. Manage the domain's DNS from /domains.

As a checkout product manager, where do I enter the .PAY label I want to check?

Go to domain.pay and enter the .PAY label you want: https://domain.pay/register. The website checks availability and helps you choose between pre-order, trademark fast-track, or a different name if the label is already taken or premium.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
