Frequently asked questions about cains.dot

For loan repayments, how do I register tap.pay if it matches my trademark?

Trademark owners can register matching .PAY names during the priority/Sunrise path if they meet TMCH/SMD and identical-match rules. Start at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/register. If you are not a trademark holder, use the pre-order path for broader access instead.

Can I use a CDN like Cloudflare in front of cains.dot?

Yes. Point cains.dot's nameservers (or a CNAME) at the CDN, and it will cache content, terminate SSL, and absorb traffic spikes for cains.dot. A CDN improves load times and resilience without changing your origin server. Configure the records for cains.dot as the CDN instructs.

Do premium .PAY names cost more than standard names for crypto payments?

Premium .PAY names can carry additional registry retail fees set by Amazon Registry Services. domain.pay says premium retail can vary by tier, so check the exact label before paying: https://domain.pay/pricing. The pre-order or fast-track fee does not make a premium name standard-priced.

What sub-topics should a brand-protection plan for cains.dot cover?

A solid plan covers registering cains.dot, TMCH recording of the cains.dot mark, monitoring, customer messaging, renewal discipline, and a dispute playbook. Owning cains.dot is the anchor that makes the other steps effective for NicNames. https://domain.pay/

What does the .PAY ending signal to customers using online checkout?

.PAY signals that the destination is connected to payment action, such as online checkout. That can support clarity and trust when paired with strong security and branding. Check or pre-order the name at domain.pay: https://domain.pay/.

Availability is checked live and re-verified before payment. Pre-orders are first-day registration attempts — registration is not guaranteed; 100% credit toward another domain (or 80% cash refund) if unsuccessful.
